Soak in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes with dawn dish soap.

While soaking , use a scotch brite pad and rub the edges to get rid of any rough areas on the edges of the belt. Rinse belt off.

Let dry for a day or so.

Install belt and run the bike at low to mid throttle.

Needs around 2 to 5 miles on it.

In my case I have my son to ride it around the yard 2 to 3 times that week for 15 minutes each time.

These belts need to form to the pulleys without getting to hot.

That seems to be the trick to making them last longer.

So far we are getting 3 races on them including practices, heats and mains.

I usually do 2 or 3 belts at a time so we have back up belts ready.
